Few things you need to make this process as smooth as possible
You need to have a PIII machine Minimum configuration.
- Windows XP or Windows 2000 computer
- The scoring software installed on it
- Fast speed internet connection (DSL, CABLE or T1-T3)
- Leave your computer on 24/7
If you have a computer person then he is better to do that himself. If you do not have one then follow these instructions.
If you need help at any time then just add a screenname for Yahoo: kum_10 and at no charge chat with the technician on the other line, who will guide you through the process. This is a one time process and you only need to do it once.
Step one: Create an additional user name on your machine.
- In windows XP Goto Start
- Control Panel
- User Accounts
- Create a New Account
- Type in: REMOTE or any other reasonable name (write it down on paper too)
- click NEXT
- click CREATE ACCOUNT
- click on REMOTE icon
- create a password
- type a password that you will give to us later for example 321qaz or qwe321 (write it down on paper too)
- retype the password
- type the hint frase so you would not forget the password
- click create password
- close this window by pressing X
Step two: Enabling Remote Desktop Connection
- In control panel window click Network and Internet Connections
- In the left panel click remote desktop
- make a checkmark next to "allow users to connect remotely to this computer"
- click apply and then ok
Step three: Find out your IP address
Step four: Email the username, password and the IP address to us
- Email the username you created (REMOTE?) and password you established (kj467fCD) to support@techindia.com
- Leave your computer running. DO NOT TURN IT OFF.
- We will email you back if we were able to log onto your system.
Things to consider:
Your computer has to be on 24x7 sometimes computer have tendency to turn themselves off after 10-20 minutes of inactivity. Here is how to disable it:
- Goto START/CONTROL PANEL/APPEARANCE & THEMES
- Display
- Screen Saver
- Power
- Turn off monitor put "after 20 minutes"
- For everything else put "NEVER"

If the system still shut downs after that then your computer guy should disable system power off in BIOS, by pressing DEL or F8 or F2 or F10 (depending on your system) to boot up into bios and change the power options.
If your computer is in the network that uses the server as a gateway to the internet then there few extra steps you need to do.
In these cases your computer person will have to send us a *.PCF also know as a VPN profile. If your computers are setup in this way you probably already have a *.pcf profile somewhere on one of your systems. Basically we first have to connect to your network via VPN client (virtual private network) (for that we need your VPN profile) and then we will need your local area network IP address. Basically the address by which we can find that particular computer on your local network. Again, all of the steps above are somewhat easy to do by the person who setup your local area network, or just by a computer person who knows a thing or two about networking.
